SixthSense Technology

When Interactive system interacts with the physical world through actuators by the implementation of sensors. It’s basically bringing part of the physical world into the digital world or any intuitiveness of real life hence making the computing interface more intuitive to a digital world called the “sixth sense(Mistry, 2009).

The sixth sense is a wearable interface that allows us to interact with any given objects, for example using natural hand gestures to take pictures and go to any wall around you to project it, you can even organize, edit pictures and send it via email to anyone etc. (Maes, 2009).

Instead of sitting on the digital platform, physical computing is a new era where you bring digital platform where ever you go, no more usage of phones, you can use your physical hand to key in numbers to call people. (Mistry, 2009).

Similar Project was launched in 29th April 2014 for research, and now is the first molecular scanner which is launched in 2016 in the market called Scio pocket molecular scanner. Its function is to scan material or physical objects and get instant relevant information in your smartphone. (Sharon, 2011). Scio uses a tiny optical sensor which is called the spectrometer which observes the light reflecting from any object and breaks into the spectrum. The spectrum is sent to the cloud for analysis and algorithms sends back the information back to the smartphone app. (Keilaf, 2015)
